Don't get me wrong, you can not believe anything you want. I don't
    have
a problem with that. What I'm talking about is not personal
    philosophy,
it's personal responsibility in a society that requires so much
interaction. It's about how the respectful acceptance of others who
believe differently can improve all of our lives.

So please, don't believe what you don't want to. But accept that
    others
    might.

This is something that I believe some 'modern day Christians' have
a problem with... I believe that there is an absolute truth - and
    anything else? Is false.

    BUT

I don't try to convince someone else chooses to say NO to Jesus
or God. Everyone is entitled to believe what they want. It might
be unfortunate to belief something that is not true, but it is
    still a fundamental right.

Even Jesus comes to us with an OFFER to come to Him - to follow
Him. We all have free will and can say no and choose to beleive
    something else. I respect that!

But I do like to make sure the person has at least HEARD the
truth in order to reject it...

Right. A belief they can't prove. Atheism is a church by another name.

But.... you can prove the existance of "God"? Can you tell us how?

    The Church of Satan.

LOL! Can you prove the existance of that one, also?

I'd like to jump in here on this one please...

No, I can't prove the existance of something that is, by
definition, outside of time, space and matter. And I'm
sure you can't prove the LACK of something that you don't
    have all the data on.

To 'prove' something doesn't exist, you have to know what
all DOES exist, and none of us know that. :-)

I don't want to put words in JC's mouth, but the Church
of Satan, or the Satanic Church in America, says they
put SELF first - that there is no God, no satan - just
    do what you want.

The Bible teaches that man, left to his own devices and
desires, will do evil as compared to God. As filty rags,
    to paraphrase a verse.

So if atheism equates to humanism, then humanism is
another word for what the Church of Satan promotes.

So Elijah answered and said to them, "If I am a man of God, let fire come down from heaven and consume you and your fifty men." And the fire of God came down from heaven and consumed him and his fifty.

What proof do you have that this happened?

As Jesus said, if they don't believe Moses, they won't believe miracles either.

How do you know Jesus actually said that?

    Applies to atheists.

    I'm not an atheist.

Would you try again to actually answer the question that I asked?

    I will try. :-)

I didn't hear Him say it, so so I can't prove it. However, I do
know that SOMEONE wrote it down, and the writers are credited with
losing their lives because of what they believed and taught.

How do we know George Washington said anything that he did? We
    can't "prove" it...
